Q. I have aquarium gravel (not the fine type the small standard pebble type) in, is that ok for Terrapins as well?

A. No the gravel gets dirty and the waste starts to break down and pollutes the tank even with good filters. Aquarium Sand is best. Just use a very fine covering so that it an easily be siphoned out when it gets dirty.
Also turtles an ingest bits of gravel causing Impaction of the gut.
