Q. I am interested in keeping a snake and need some advice setting up a vivarium. I like the look of the viv-exotic 24inch vivarium on the site, but could you advise on what would be the best additional items to purchase with it in order to complete the set up?

A. You do not mention what type of snake so I will be general this will be okay for Cornsnake or king/Milksnake.

Lighting is not necessary as long as it is in a room that gets good
sunlight. If you want a light then you will need an arcadia light controller ARC IP64 and a fluorescent tube Grolux Light 18" x 1" 15watt. Use a heat mat that covers half the base I prefer to fit them on the inside back wall of the Vivarium. Algarde Heat Mat 11" x 11"
A water bowl PT-2802 Exo-Terra water dish Medium and a hide or cave for the snake PT-2845 small for hatchling will probably do the first two years and PT-2847 or an adult!
